Questions before you book
Each walk's own page has three more.
How many people are in a group?
Eight guests at most, and six on the printmaking workshop. A guide walks with every group, and further trips go in a small van, never a coach.
Is Nét a real company?
No. Nét is a fictional company, built as a design showpiece. The tours, prices, guides and reviews on this site are samples. The facts about Hanoi are real, and each is sourced and dated.
Are the prices final?
Yes. Prices are per guest, in US dollars, and nothing is added at the end. Other currencies are approximate display conversions from a dated rate, and every charge is in USD.
What if it rains?
Walks go ahead in light rain, with ponchos. In heavy rain we shorten the route or move the day, and we message you by 21:00 the evening before.
Do I need an account to book?
No. You can book as a guest, with just a name and an email address. An account keeps your bookings together and lets you cancel from one page; if you make one with the address you booked with, your earlier bookings join it once you have confirmed the address.
How long are my places held?
For ten minutes from the moment you press Hold my places, with one extension of ten more if you need it. A clock on the page counts it down and warns you two minutes before the end. If it runs out, you can hold the same places again if they are still free.
How do I pay?
By card or PayPal, in US dollars, on the payment provider's own page. We never see your card number. You are emailed a confirmation and a receipt as soon as it is taken.
Can children come?
Each experience page gives its own minimum age. Most start at 6 to 10, and the evening food walk is 8 and over.
I have a dietary need.
Tell us when you book. Fish sauce is in most Vietnamese cooking, and pork and beef are common, so we plan around what you cannot eat before the day.
Is it accessible?
Hanoi's pavements are uneven and many places have steps. Each experience page says what is step-free, and we plan a route round what you need if you tell us in advance.
What do I wear to a temple?
Cover your shoulders and knees, and wear shoes that slip off easily. The mausoleum asks the same, and does not allow photographs inside.
Do I need a visa?
It depends on your passport. Every nationality can apply for an e-visa valid for up to 90 days, and citizens of about forty countries can stay up to 45 days without one.
How do I cross the street?
At a slow, steady pace. Do not stop suddenly or run: riders steer round a walker they can predict, and buses and cars do not.
What happens around Tết?
Tết falls on Saturday 6 February 2027. Many shops, stalls and restaurants close for several days, so we run fewer walks. Book early, or come the week after, when the peach blossom is still out.
Can you plan something that is not listed?
Yes. Tell us when you are coming, who is with you and what you like, and we will plan it.
